Code of Conduct

Mountain Creek Competition and Education Foundation, Inc., (MCCEF) mission is to provide alpine athletes the opportunity to reach their full athletic and competitive potential in a fun and supportive environment, achieved through, and enhanced by a sharing passion for the lifelong sport of skiing while promoting sportsmanship, team spirit, and camaraderie.


Participation in the organization's programs or presence at the organization’s events is subject to the observance of the organization's rules and procedures. The activities outlined below are strictly prohibited. The Code applies to any MCCEF, NJSRA or US Ski & Snowboard activities, training, races, or events at Mountain Creek or any other venue associated with or related to such activities or events,  Any athlete, coach, parent, family member, guest, or volunteer who violates this Code is subject to discipline at the discretion of the Head Coach and Program Director, in consultation with the Board of Directors. Disciplinary action may include sanction, temporary suspension, or, for more serious infractions, permanent removal from all New Jersey Ski Racing Association (NJSRA) programs.  In some cases. such disciplinary action may not only apply to the individual but to the athlete, parent, family members or guests of such individual. No refunds of fees or dues will be given for loss of time due to an infraction of the Code of Conduct.


Disciplinary actions are at the discretion of the Head Coach, Program Director and Board of Directors.


  • Abusive language or gesture towards a Mountain Creek Employee, coach, volunteer, another participant or participants family or guests or any employees or volunteers at any event or venue.
  • Under-age possession or use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs.
  • Participation in or presence at the program while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Bringing to Mountain Creek Resort or any race or event dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons, or other similar items.
  • Discourtesy or rudeness to a fellow participant or a participant’s family members, staff member, volunteer, or event or venue employees or staff.
  • Verbal, physical, or visual harassment of another participant or a participant’s family members, staff member, volunteer or or event or venue employees or staff, including physical or verbal bullying or intimidation.
  • Actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group.
  • Discriminatory acts against any individual or group.
  • Conduct endangering the life, safety, health, or well-being of others.
  • Failure to follow any NJSRA, MCCEF, or Mountain Creek Resort policy, procedure, or directive.
  • Improper taking of any property of another person, including taking unfair advantage of any person or participant.
  • Failing to cooperate with directives of an adult supervisor, including any officer, director, or coach.
  • Failure to comply with any safety directive issued by the organization, including but not limited to, submitting to a medical exam, or reporting to Ski Patrol when directed.
  • Failure to abide by any safety directive of responsible mountain employees, including lift operators, rangers, ski patrollers and resort managers.
